Open and Restricted Sections

 

Once a horse and rider combination have achieved three scores or over 70% at one level. Then they are no longer eligible to compete at that level in the restricted section. But you may indefinitely compete in the Open section at that level.

The rules regarding rosettes and prizes/ prize money are still applicable in both open and restricted sections.

 

Ex-racehorse / ROR classes

 

The above rule to open and restricted sections apply.

In order to compete in the ex-racehorse classes your horse must have raced in the UK or have been put through training with the British Horseracing Authority.

Horses that have competed in harness racing are also permitted.

To compete your horse in this class you must be able to prove it by registering your horse as an ex-racehorse with us.

To register please post or email photos/ photocopies of your horse’s passport to us -these will be held on file. We require the pages that identify your horse’s name, breeding, DOB, along with the ID sketch, written description and or photographs which MUST have a vets signature or stamp.

 

Veteran classes

 

The above rule to open and restricted sections apply.

In order to compete in the Veteran classes your horse MUST be over 15years of age at the time of competing.

To compete your horse in this class you must be able to prove it by registering your horse as an veteran with us.

To register please post or email photos/ photocopies of your horse’s passport to us -these will be held on file. We require the pages that identify your horse’s name, breeding, DOB, along with the ID sketch, written description and or photographs which MUST have a vets signature or stamp.

 

Bitless Horse classes

 

The above rule to open and restricted sections apply.

In order to compete in the Bitless horse classes, your horse must be ridden without a bit. Any form of bitless bridle or a headcollar is permitted, all other tack and turnout MUST follow the rules.

 

Mufty classes

 

These classes are for those who require non-legal BD tack to compete. You can also use incorrectly sized arenas, so long as the movements are fairly clear.

All bits allowed, all nosebands allowed, martingales allowed, leaders allowed, someone in the arena to assist is allowed.

The mufty classes are all for fun, experience and to have a go.

We will even allow bareback/ bridleless / Sidesaddle / Western / Pairs / carriage driving / long reining in the mufty class. No age limit to horse so long as it is over 4 years old to be ridden/ driven!

 

Currently the different sections/classes will be run on percentage!

Junior classes

 

For anyone under the age of 15 years to be judged independent to the adults.

We will endeavour to find someone to support prizes for these in the classes.
